Step 1: Create Your Account
Begin by creating your PhoneShield.ai account:
- Visit PhoneShield.ai Signup to create a new account
Navigate to our signup page to begin the registration process.
- Enter your email address and create a secure password
Choose a strong password with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Complete the verification process
Check your email and click the verification link we send you.
- Log in to your new account
Return to PhoneShield.ai and sign in with your credentials.

Step 2: Verify Your Phone
To ensure security and proper call handling, you'll need to verify your existing phone number:
- Navigate to Phone Verification in your dashboard
You'll find this option in the dashboard after logging in.
- Enter your personal phone number
This is the number you'll receive forwarded calls on.
- Click "Send Verification Code"
We'll send a 6-digit code via SMS to your phone.
- Enter the verification code
Type the 6-digit code you received.
- Click "Verify" to complete the process
Your phone number is now verified and linked to your account.
Why verify your phone?
This allows PhoneShield to authenticate you, forward calls to your real number when needed, and prevent unauthorized access to your account.
Step 3: Get Your PhoneShield Number
Now it's time to provision your PhoneShield phone number:
- Go to the Dashboard
Access your PhoneShield dashboard after logging in.
- Click on "Get a PhoneShield Number"
This button appears prominently on your dashboard.
- Choose your preferred area code
Select an area code that makes sense for your needs.
- Select a number from available options
Browse through the available numbers and choose one you like.
- Confirm your selection
Review your choice and confirm to provision the number.
Success!
Your PhoneShield number is now active and ready to use. Anyone who calls this number will interact with your AI assistant.
Step 4: Configure Your AI Assistant
Personalize how your AI answers and handles calls:
- Navigate to AI Profiles in your dashboard
Find the AI Profiles section in your dashboard menu.
- Click "Create New Profile" or edit the default profile
A default profile is created automatically, but you can customize it.
- Set a name for your AI profile
For example, "Professional Assistant" or "Personal Secretary"
- Configure the voice settings
Choose the provider, voice, language, and speech speed.
- Add custom instructions
Tell your AI how it should respond to callers and what information to collect.
- Set call handling preferences
Decide when and how calls should be forwarded to you.
- Save your changes
Click "Save" to apply your configuration.

Test your PhoneShield setup to make sure everything is working properly:
- Using a different phone, call your PhoneShield number
Call from a different phone than your verified number to test the full experience.
- Interact with your AI assistant
Ask questions, leave a message, or request to be connected.
- Check if notifications are delivered correctly
Verify that you receive notifications through your configured channels.
- Review the call in your Call History
Check your dashboard to see the recorded call.
- Listen to the recording and review the AI-generated content
Review the transcript and summary created by your AI.
- Adjust settings if needed
Fine-tune your configuration based on the test results.
